"USMC PLCS IN COALITION LOGISTICS INTEROPERABILITY JOINT LOGISTICS INTEGRATION" IS SUBJECT OF PRESENTATION MADE BY BLACK AND ROSSI DURING PDT EUROPE 2013 IN STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN ON OCT. 14-16
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – OCTOBER 14-16, 2013 — President Bill Black of Black & Rossi made a presentation covering U.S. Marine Corps Product Lifecycle Management Systems (PLCS) in Coalition Logistics Interoperability during PDT Europe 2013 in Stockholm, Sweden. The theme for PDT Europe 2013 was "Integrating PLM, CM and SE for lean, innovative and agile operations."
During the conference, attendees lerned about state of the art integrated engineering environments in industries such as aerospace and defence, automotive, high tech, energy and building construction. Cases were presented that in many ways challenge the current practice of large scale and monolithic systems to support engineering across a product's lifecycle. Speakers noted that the heterogeneous engineering world must move towards connectivity with the value of product data driving decisions to move to new business processes and business models.
Black's presentation illustrated how Interoperability is the key to success as large organizations confront challenges in integrating equipment and information related to deployed logistics operations. Black made the presentation jointly with Joel Battistoni of Nexus LCM.
