NATO RECOGNIZES BLACK & ROSSI FOR DEMONSTRATING THE ABILITY TO SECURELY SHARE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONAL DATA BETWEEN NATO AND COALITON FORCES
THE WOODLANDS, TX – October 5, 2011 — The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) has recognized Black & Rossi, LLC, a leading military logistics and technology consulting firm based in The Woodlands, TX, for leading a team of experts from the U.S. military and private industry during its recently completed NATO Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise (CWIX 2011). During the exercise at the NATO Joint Forces Training Center based in Bydgoszcz, Poland, Black & Rossi led the team that successfully demonstrated for the first time in a battlefield environment the ability to securely share and transfer highly sensitive maintenance and operational data between NATO and coalition partners.
Brigadier General (USAF) Gregory L. Brundidge, NATO’s Director of Command, Control, Communications, and Warfighting Integration, praised the Black & Rossi-led team for its contribution, noting that the achievements are extremely significant. “These successes will enable a responsive logistical support network that provides the flexibility, speed, and increased readiness to the warfighter,” he said.
Black & Rossi’s Founder and President Colonel Bill Black led the successful CWIX 2011 team. He says that working with NATO was a great honor for both him and the company. “I’m proud of the work that the team did,” he noted. “Over the years, Black & Rossi has been given the opportunity to work with the Department of Defense, the USMC, and private sector organizations to leverage our proficiency in sense & respond logistics and other technologies. So, I’m really pleased we had the chance to bring that expertise to bear for NATO and the coalition forces.”
