THE WOODLANDS, TX – December 1, 2011 — Black & Rossi has done it again! BEST IN SHOW (MILITARY BOOTH): Black & Rossi joined with the United States Marine Corps (USMC) to win "Best in Show" in the military booth category. This is the third consecutive year that the USMC has chosen Black & Rossi to help plan, create and manage the USMC Exhibition Booth at the annual Symposium. This year's booth highlighted the Corps’ intent to “Lighten the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF)” by integrating operations, logistics and intelligence through a shared data environment using common data and business intelligence.
BEST BOOTH (INDUSTRY): Black & Rossi’s work was also highlighted in the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS) booth which won industry booth, Best in Show with its Commercial Technologies for Maintenance Activities (CTMS) projects. At that booth, Black & Rossi showcased its work with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in 2011 and discussed plans for additional work with NATO in 2012. During the 2011 NATO Coalition Warrior Interoperability Exercise (CWIX 2011), Black & Rossi led a team of experts from the U.S. military and private industry that successfully demonstrated for the first time a battlefield ability to securely share and transfer equipment and supplies in a coalition environment. Black & Rossi and it’s team also briefed it’s work for CWIX 2012 which will demonstrate how coalition members can exchange and collaborate when sharing highly sensitive maintenance and operational data among themselves, NATO and industry partners. The project will leverage the Black & Rossi proprietary database exchange system that lays the foundation for enabling a responsive logistical support network to provide the flexibility, speed, and increased readiness to today's war fighter.
"Winning the prestigious award for ‘Best in Show’ as part of the USMC team and being showcased at the NCMS ‘Best in Show’ booth for our work with NATO is truly an honor," said Bill Black, Founder and President of Black & Rossi.
